Xiaomi 17T: Leak reveals technical sheet and a starting price of 749 euros

The Xiaomi 17T is becoming clearer a few weeks before its European launch, with a very detailed leak published on May 4, 2026. This new series inaugurates a starting price of 749 euros, an increase of 100 euros compared to the Xiaomi 15T.

Two coordinated leaks, one by WinFuture for the images, the other attributed to Dealabs for the pricing and specs, paint an almost complete picture of the Chinese brand's two new premium mid-range smartphones. The Xiaomi 17T Pro would peak at 999 euros.

A two-stage leak that leaves little to chance

The unofficial communication operation took place in two stages. Roland Quandt, a journalist for the German media WinFuture, published a series of official renders on May 4, 2026, showcasing the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro from all angles. A few days earlier, the French site Dealabs had already released the specifications complete, along with European prices.

This division of roles, common in the mobile industry, suggests that both phones are nearing the commercial stage. The visuals released by WinFuture show a design close to that of the standard Xiaomi 17, launched in Europe in February 2026, with a slight tweak to the rear camera module.

Xiaomi 17T Pro, the flagship of the T range

According to the data reported by Dealabs, the Xiaomi 17T Pro would be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip. This SoC, officially presented by MediaTek in September 2025, is manufactured using TSMC's 3nm process and features an ultra-high clocked core up to 4.21 GHz, according to the official MediaTek specs. It directly targets the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in the fields of generative AI and high-end mobile gaming.

The phone would benefit from a 6.83-inch AMOLED display showing 2772 by 1280 pixels and reaching a 144 Hz refresh rate. The battery would be 7000 mAh, a particularly generous value for a slim smartphone, complemented by 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The chassis would adopt a metal frame, a signature of Xiaomi's Pro models.

On the photo side, the triple camera module would rely on a 50-megapixel main lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera would peak at 32 megapixels.

The standard Xiaomi 17T focuses on compact format and battery

The Xiaomi 17T entry-level model would stand out primarily for its more modest 6.59-inch diagonal, with 2756 by 1268 pixels and 120 Hz. According to the leak published by Dealabs, it would feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, a chip announced on January 15, 2026, and manufactured using a 4nm process, equipped with eight Cortex-A725 cores clocked up to 3.4 GHz.

Battery life would not be left behind, with a 6500 mAh battery paired with 67W wired fast charging. Wireless charging would disappear on this model, however. The back would be plastic, unlike the Pro model's metal frame, which partly justifies the price difference between the two models. The base memory configuration would rely on 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

A 100 euro increase that is not insignificant

The launch price of the Xiaomi 17T at 749 euros represents a 100 euro increase compared to the Xiaomi 15T, which was marketed at 649 euros at its launch in Munich on September 24, 2025. This price inflation is mainly explained by the surge in flash memory prices observed across the entire market in 2025 and 2026, as indicated by WinFuture in its article.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro, at 999 euros, aligns with the entry-level price of the standard Xiaomi 17 Pro, launched internationally in February 2026. Neither of the two leaks specifies the exact launch date in the European market. Xiaomi usually follows an autumn schedule for its T series, with an international presentation in September, as was the case for the 15T. However, the early nature of this leak, as early as May 2026, might suggest an earlier schedule. The brand might opt for a summer announcement, but this hypothesis remains to be confirmed.
